Alrighty then, “Spiderman 3” definitely see it on the big screen.
Typically sequels don’t live up to their prequels but Spiderman 3
does it beautifully with a great cast, awesome NYC fight scenes,
including Venom, a renegade alien, Sandman, a man of sand who can’t
be killed, a revenge hungry Harry Osborn, taking his father’s place
as the new Goblin, improved special effects, and silly comic book
humor.
Now for the negatives, Drama packed however, a bit cliché, punching
you in the throat at times, resulting in an outburst of laughter at
emotional climaxes. Also, if you didn’t know it from S1 & S2, S3
makes it official; Peter Parker is a gigantic dork. Clearly
intentional, but uncanny when coupled with his new evil, women love
me, I love myself transformation, it’s tough to take this guy
seriously. The transformation occurred because Spiderman’s hate made
him a perfect host for the renegade alien, giving him enormous
strength and agility however, destroying his true self. So despite
Tobey Maguire’s inner battle good vs. evil vs. being a weirdo, I
love my grandma and moped helmet, you will enjoy the quality action
and adventure that sold out movie theaters nationwide this morning.
If you enjoyed Sin City, 300, all the Batman movies, and the
prequels then you won’t be disappointed. Comic books brought to life
people, words like awesome and radical do no justice on the magic of
that! No brainpower or drugs needed, just sit back and enjoy the
ride.
4 Stars
