“Oceans Thirteen” lives up to the stereo-type of a sequel, which is,
it doesn’t live up to the original, “Ocean’s 11,.” Which is by far
the best out of the remakes of the original Ocean’s 11. The
photography, editing, choreography, and the cast are great. However,
the characters are predictable and boring. Las Vegas is an awesome
place but this film doesn’t do it justice like the original.
The third heist orchestrated by

non other than Danny Ocean is
brought on by a low class double
cross by Willy Banks, resulting in
the near death of the gangs
mentor Reuben Tishkoff. This
time as previously it’s personal,
and their determined to bring this
hotel/casino star to his knees.
Banks spares no expense, from
gold dining ware to a bullet
proof state of the art security brain.
A computer that can measure the
integrity of any gambler with a
winning streak. It knows how to
reason but can it recognize chance
and a “Rusty” intervention?
“Ocean’s Thirteen” is mildly entertaining however, if you feign for
Vegas then the footage of the hotel will get you motivated for a
summer getaway. Definitely wait to see it on DVD or PayPerView, I
recommend screening “Mr. Brooks,” a much more entertaining and
thrilling experience at the movies. If you are a popcorn lover be
sure to use your rewards card at the box office. I often receive a
voucher for free small popcorn.
2 1/2 Stars -- Doesn't live up to the prequels.
