“The Simpsons Movie” was hilarious for the first half and equal to a
good episode for the rest. More specifically, the first half is the
best episode ever! The animation touched on many current social and
political issues, of course exploiting them beautifully. The classic
animation coupled by great writing makes the Simpsons a legend.

As usual, the plot is cutting edge, exposing typical and current
human flaws, mistakes, and
disasters; the main focus being
our total disregard for the
environment. The Springfield
lake is at the brink of being a
sewer, but Lisa saves the
day and initiates a clean-up.
However, brainless Homer with
his mind only on donuts, beer,
sex, and any brainless activity
he determines to be a priority
at any random given moment
causes the lake to become toxic.
Springfield is quarantined and
will soon be destroyed.
“The Simpsons Movie” is a great laugh
especially for the first 40
minutes, so dang funny! All the typical characters show face,
grandpa and homer are incredibly funny. The second half is like most
of their episodes, pretty funny, sometimes hilarious. The UA
Westbury theatre was packed, so go solo or go early. Have a great
weekend!
4 Stars -- Fun and
full of laughs, go see it in the theatres.
