“Awake” was a solid mind twister. You'd have to be pretty with it to
predict what's going to happen. I'll admit I had no clue, but there
are a couple of scenes in the plot that are weak. The acting was
very good overall and Jessica Alba was extremely attractive to say
the least :). However, if you're the queezy type there are several
open heart surgeries that look pretty dang real!
Clay Beresford is a real estate mogul in
New York who is in love with Sam Lockwood, Clay's mother's
assistant. Due to the difference in social class Clay is hesitant to
reveal his secret affair. Simultaneously, he is waiting to have a
heart
transplant, upon finding a suitable heart he decides to tell his
mother about the affair and marry Sam. Unexpectedly, during
the surgery
Clay under anastesia remains "awake," but paralyzed so the doctors
proceed with the surgery.
“Awake” although having questionable plot lines
was very well made and worth going to see. Up and coming actor &
friend Matt Martini, was Hayden Christensen's photo double during
the production of "Awake." He spent hours upon hours on the surgery
table, every scene in fact, while the crew setup the photography and
shots for Hayden. For more information about local actor Matthew
Martini visit his page at
www.imdb.com
http://imdb.com/name/nm2107805/
If you enjoyed the "Perfect Murder" and "The Game" you will
definitely enjoy "Awake." Have a safe and happy holiday!
