“The Dark Knight” was entertaining for the most part and comedic
given “The Joker” character. However, the film did lack the comic
book Mise en scene (visual style, properties of the environment)
that “Sin City” and “Spiderman” capture quite well, and the
152-minute runtime is excessive for the average moviegoer.
Bruce Wayne continues to battle his inner desire to live a normal
human existence, specifically with Rachel Dawes; who now dates Harvey
Dent. Batman is over-exerting himself and now has to deal with copy
cat Batmans’ who want to help him, but just seem to make his work
more difficult. Further, he is now faced with a villain who has only
one desire, and that’s to cause chaos, money means nothing which
makes him extremely dangerous, yet frighteningly hilarious!
“The Dark Knight” is certainly worth watching; not the best of the
“Batman” films, but second or third best is pretty dang good too! If
you enjoyed “The Crow” “Batman Begins,” and the older “Batman”
movies, then you will definitely enjoy this one. The UA Westbury was
packed and sold out this Tuesday, so make sure to get there at least
1 hour early to get good seats.
3.5 Stars -
 Loads
of Action.
