Good or bad, things can happen so quickly. I want to take a moment to ask for your thoughts and prayers for Lisa Buttacavoli (fellow columnist and family member) who was victim to a disastrous fire on Wednesday last week. Although, she survived, thank God, she has lost everything. The house that she was renting a room in, was devastated by fire and everything was lost.

Long Island Economy has set up a fund on her behalf. Any donation and/or contribution would be appreciated. Let's pull together for her in this time of need and be the strong community that we all know we can be.

This can happen to any of us. An electrical fire can happen at any time and anywhere. Let's remember to be safe and be there for those in need, because we never know when our time will be. Things can change in the blink of an eye.
