About
That's right, four generations of automobile repair. My great grandfather came to this country as a blacksmith, he specifically built vegetable wagons. Carts that would hold ice to keep produce cold. When trucking became popular he adapted his business to manufacture truck bodies for the same purpose. Along with manufacturing came collision repair, because when you put two motorized vehicles on the same street you know what's going to happen. Crash! and so started the body and fender business. The tradition continued to my grand father and also my father. Bob as everyone knows him. Bob started working for his own father but didn't enjoy the commute to the city every day and decided to work out on the island. After some time it was a simple decision to open his on facility. In 1975 Third Generation Auto Body was born, connected to a Chevrolet dealership in Smithtown.
