A recently passed bill will give New York its own 9/11 commemorative license plates.
The bill was sponsored by state NYS District 1 Sen. Kenneth LaValle and signed by the Governor.
There will be a $25 annual fee for the commemorative plates. The money from the fee is supposed to help family members of Sept. 11 victims pay for college tuition.
No release date has been set for the new plate as of yet as they finish the final design.
